YBF Anti-Aging Skincare: Put Your Best Face Forward

The skin care and anti-aging industries are filled to the brim of empty promises, false claims and an extreme lack of real, honest results. It seems as though a lot of these companies throw a white lab coat on a struggling male model/actor and “Poof- instant doctor!” Do they really think that we believe them? Or even worse, do we believe them? Are we endlessly searching for the Fountain of Youth, grasping at any vine that dangles in front of us, tempting to pull us out? Are we as society really that desperate?

I’m not a supermodel; I’m not an actress; I’m not a political figure of any sort that has the time to get facials on an “as-needed basis” to look good for the press. I’m a 38-year old freelance writer, mother of two and part-time “ice-cream specialist” at the local supermarket who, until mid-January of this year, had the worst skin on the planet.

For as long as I can remember, my skin was a mess. Large pores, sporadic acne and patterned dryness that intensified with various acne treatments, and it actually became worse when I opted to take the ice-cream position, as consistently poking one’s face in and out of a large freezer can have an adverse effect on already difficult skin. My face was at a point where I felt hopeless, as there couldn’t be a product  (never mind a complete line) out there that could fix all of my problems. I felt hopeless.

Then I came across the YBF line. I was hopeful, yet hesitant, as I tried many different product lines and was disappointed by all, including one that has a national ad campaign complete with celebrity endorsements and a money-back guarantee (thank goodness). I’ve been using the product line as recommended by its creators- Darrell Owens and Kimberley Fristed.

Darrell and Kimberley began their incredible friendship when they worked together at a Fortune 100 company, who just loved to spend spare time visiting local coffee shops. Their passion for coffee drove them to the idea of one day owning their own- together. Time passed and the two friends went their separate ways, but they knew that one-day, they’d work together again. What they didn’t know was that YBF would be the seal between them.

I could go into the details of the ingredients for each of the four products, but unless you do your own research, what I say will mean nothing. I could tell you that a mysterious melon that grows in France holds the secret to perpetually young skin, show you a picture of a cantaloupe, charge $250 a bottle and have a supermodel endorse it. Instead, I’m giving you one point that I would like to emphasize: Just because something is natural, it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s good; on the flip side, just because something is synthetic (man-made), it doesn’t mean it’s bad.

Since first using the full, 4-piece product line as directed by Darrell and Kimberley just over 2 months ago, I, a freelance writer, can barely put into words the feeling I get from every possible aspect. For the first time in nearly 20 years, I will leave the house and go to the market without foundation on my face. I feel confident, not wanting to hide behind displays and run from co-workers who wanted nothing more than to say ‘hello’. From now on, I’ll be walking proudly into shops and other public places, always putting my best face forward.
