YBF? Your Best Face Skincare Review
8.1.2011
| LIZZIE @ GLAM 2 GO

"After 4 weeks of trying out Correct Eye Cream (best seller), Defend Face Care, and Quench Lip Treatment (not including sample size items that were sent). I have noticed a difference on the hydration around my eyes, I LOVE Defend Face Cream, and the Lip Treatment is nice and moisturizing. Let me break down a bit about each product...

I think this is a skin care line that will have a successful future and I look forward to trying more items. Thanks Darrell & Kimberly for all your hard work and dedication on such an amazing line."

YBF Skincare Review
7.31.2011
| DAWN @ MOMMY PR

"As a 45 year old woman, my biggest concerns when it comes to skin care include the eye area, skin tone and preventing wrinkles as much as possible.I am fortunate to have been able to try some really great skincare products over that past couple of years and because of that, I can be somewhat hard to impress.

If I didn’t know better, I would swear that they had me in mind when they created these products – it feels like they were specifically designed just for me. I love everything about them – from the packaging, to the feel, to the ingredients to the fresh amazing scent!"

Your Best Face Skincare Review
7.29.2011
| SHAUNA @ TRYING TO STAY CALM

"We really love all the products we tried! Here's a couple of our favorites below we want to tell you about...

Their anti-aging lip balm, Quench Lip Treatment is wonderful! I love the peppermint flavor it has. My lips felt so soft after using this. They also increased Quench's antioxidant protection, further adding to the cumulative benefits you might not experience with traditional lip balms.

The result with Balance is skin with a healthy-looking sheen that feels matte and doesn't become oily. I love things that help me and my skin be calm :) My face really likes this product."

YBF (Your Best Face) PREP: Brightening Exfoliant
7.27.2011
| PAMMY @ PAMMY BLOGS BEAUTY

"The timing of my product testing for YBF Prep turned out to be just perfect. I am currently 17 weeks pregnant and my skincare routine and needs have changed significantly with pregnancy. Most chemical exfoliants are no-no's during pregnancy. So, I really needed to find a good manual exfoliator. Also pregnancy has made my dry skin more oily and more prone to breaking out. I need effective products that are gentle and pregnancy safe.Well, the good news: YBF Prep is it! I have found a fabulous go-to manual exfoliator that I can use safely throughout pregnancy and beyond.

Spa-Quality Treatment in your own home: YBF Prep is like a scrub and mask in one product! But, not your "typical" grainy scrub. The scrub particles in this are high-grade fine particle microderm crystals. You get all the benefits of the fabulous ingredients in this product while also exfoliating your skin. Your skin is more receptive to absorption when well exfoliated. My skin just glows after using YBF Prep! I especially notice it when waking up the next morning after doing a PM Prep treatment. My skin looks glowy, even toned, and "fresh"! When my skin gets temper metal (lol, that seems to happen a lot with pregnancy), I just whip out this product and within a few days my skin calms down. Typically, I use this 1-2x per week and up to 3x per week during my skin's temperamental phases."

YBF Skincare Review and Spotlight!
7.24.2011
| CINDY @ LIFE ON PRINT

"I ran to wash my face so I could try the them out! After reading about each one, I began applying them to my face, neck and chest area, not knowing what to expect, but hoping for the best. I then took a nap, it had been a hard day at work, and when I woke up I could not believe that my face looked and felt so smooth and refreshed! Now…I know what you are thinking..that the nap is what did it, no way no how, my face hadn’t looked that good even after a full nights rest! I was blown away at how fast these products worked! But, with my history with other products, I wasn’t sold just yet. Yes, they made my face look and feel great after 1 use, but the real test would be how they worked over time.

Many of you know that when I review a product I test the heck out of it! and these products would be no exception. So I used them, day and night, religiously for a month and each day my skin got better and better! I was receiving complements from friends on how I looked younger and more rested! I was even receiving compliments from people I had just met about what great skin I had! WOW! That is huge!!"

Ingredient Spotlight: Homeostatine
7.22.2011
| KATHERINE @ TRUTH IN AGING

"Having only twenty years of age under my belt, I cannot say I have an authentic loathing of wrinkles, such that I have seen expressed by my mother and grandmother. However, it’s exciting to think that there are ingredients being uncovered that could prevent me from experiencing such loathing! Ok, maybe not entirely; but, homeostatine, which I just saw in one of TIA’s Five Best for $65 and under picks (Your Best Face Boost) does sounds pretty splendid. Maybe it is just too good to be true.

By restoring this balance, your skin, reportedly, increases the synthesis of collagen I and III, increases your skin thickness, increases the elastic fibers, and acts as an anti-inflammatory. Can this get any better? I’m only twenty, and I want to slather homeostatine all over my face."

Your Best Face CORRECT Eye Cream Product Review — A Personal Favorite!
7.20.2011
| NICKI @ FUTURE DERM

"I know it probably sounds like I’m gushing, but Your Best Face CORRECT Eye Cream is one of my all-time favorite products. It brightens and firms the undereye skin, and reduces undereye puffiness. It is also likely to somewhat reduce dark circles that are caused by pigmentation with its lightening ingredients, though not dark circles that are caused by blood pooling under the eyes.

Bottom line: A great product, and I’m proud to pass word about this one along to my readers! Product Rating: 10/10 (High concentration of proven effective ingredients: 3/3. Unique formulation or new technology: 3/3. Value for the money: 3/3. Sunscreen: 0/1, but I gave it a bonus point for overall awesomeness.)"

Your Best Face Restore is Beautiful
7.19.2011
| JANE @ DALY BEAUTY

"I honestly loved this product so much I was afraid to write about it. I thought maybe my great skin was just a coincidence. I am skeptical of crazy skincare claims and I spent the first few days of using Restore looking in the mirror- hard- trying to convince myself that the Restore was, indeed, That Good. My skin is smooth, bright and even toned. The little dark spots from the adult acne that continues to vex me (although not as much as before…) seem to be fading before my eyes. My pores look a bit smaller and my skin just looks, well, better. I wake up without, wait for it, an oil slick on my face.

Verdict- well, amazing. I love this, will buy more, and can’t imagine what I would do without it. I have paired it with the amazing Kiehls Midnight Recovery Concentrate a few times, but that is a bit rich for the extremely hot weather we've had, but also nice after a day in the sun and wind. Again, why this line isn’t Big News is a surprise to me. Incredible."

Guest Editor: 5 Men Product Must Haves for Summer
7.18.2011
| TYLER @ D'BABETTA

"Although they don’t like to admit it, men docare about how they look. I cannot tell you the number of times I’ve walked into a men’s bathroom to discover a burly man staring deeply into the mirror at his pores.

Your Best Face BALANCE
This revolutionary anti-aging skincare helps fight current breakouts, prevent future breakouts and helps control shine—a big priority in summer when you’re sweaty! Use after washing your face and before applying sunscreen."

Your Best Face Skincare Antioxidants Concentrate
7.18.2011
| HARSHLEEN @ BEAUTY TIDBITS

"This lightweight skincare serum spreads very easily and sinks into the skin perfectly to impart a smooth, semi-matte finish. It feels so smooth going on and the emollient formula hydrates skin without leaving my face greasy or shiny. I use it on my face and especially around the eyes (never stings or irritates) both at night and in the morning under my moisturizer with sunscreen.

Also, I would like to mention that not only does this serum provide your skin with an antioxidant boost but also serves as a silky makeup primer. I love to wear it under my foundation as it provides a smooth base for makeup application and enables my makeup to last longer."

Five Best Anti-aging Creams for Under $65
7.18.2011
| MARTA @ TRUTH IN AGING

"More than a year ago, I put together the Five Best anti-aging creams and serums for under $50. As I came to update it, I realized that there are some really good new finds for just a teensy bit more. So, I am stretching this Five Best to $65 and under. There are a couple of outstanding under $50 products here as well and all of them have an impressive price to quality ratio.

What impresses me most about Boost is that it works with really challenging combination skin: think dry and furrowed, yet also oily and prone to breakouts. Boost seems to be able to deal with all of these challenges by tightening lines, moisturizing and discouraging zits with niacin and vitamin B5 (research is showing that the Bs are effective acne treatments. Effective on its own, Boost is also a great team player so use it to eke out your more expensive serums. With heavy hitting anti-agers such as spin-trap, Lipochroman-6 and teprenone, this is very well priced."

"I was thrilled when my fellow tweep YBF (Your Best Face) reached out to me via Twitter to do a product review for them. I’ve been chatting with them for a while now and was very curious about their products. All the YBF products smell amazing and to me, that’s just as important as how they work. Here are the products I tried out."

YBF (Your Best Face) Skincare Review
7.15.2011
| GRETTA @ EIGHTY MPH MOM

"Overall I was super pleased with the YBF skincare line and can already feel a difference in my skin after just a short usage. I have also discovered it is worth taking the time to do a complete skin care routine using YBF Skincare. The only downside is that it is a rather pricey skincare line. However, with the awesome results I am seeing from YBF the price might just be worth it. In my case, I will just have to get it for holiday gifts or birthday gifts as it is not something I can afford on an everyday basis. If you have never tried YBF Skincare, I would highly recommend you give it a try because I guarantee you will be amazed at the results and notice a visible difference in their products, the way they feel on your face as well as the way they are extremely effective."

Side by Side — Top Ten Products for 2011
7.10.2011
| LISA AND MARCIA @ BEAUTY INFOZONE

"These are all items we’ve reviewed in the first 6 months of 2011 and have fallen in love with. LISA: I love everything I’ve tried from the line but I’ve only reviewed Boost and Hydrate B Concentrate. Both make any other products I use work better so they had to be part of my top 10. MARCIA: Lisa and I agree wholeheartedly about the YBF brand. Absolutely everything I’ve tried is wonderful. For my top ten I’m picking Define and Quench for lips since both have helped me since I tend to ignore my lips when doing skincare. Whenever I use these YBF products I’m reminded of how great they are."

Your Best Face (YBF) Skincare Review
7.7.2011
| ANGIE @ PRECISELY MINE

"I absolutely love Quench. It goes on easily just like a chap stick, only is feels much, much better on my lips. It makes my lips feel soft and moisturized and the feeling lasts for hours, even through eating and drinking. The Correct eye cream goes on very easily and feels really great under my eyes. It does not harden or clump and does not feel heavy, sticky or greasy when applied to the skin. I barely notice I have it on. I have extremely sensitive skin and it does not irritate my skin in any way."

YBF Skincare Beauty
7.5.2011
| ALEKS @ BUSY WORKING MAMA

"As a self-pronounced lotion and potion junkie, I was thrilled to have this media kit arrive on my doorstep. I have rather sensitive skin and am very careful about what I put on it.  I have to say that all of these products were gentle on my skin.  My favorites?  hydrate B, boost and antioxidents along with the quench lip treatment and restore serum.  Actually, was there anything I didn't like?  Nope.  My skin reacted well - keep in mind it is very sensitive - and the products did not leave my face feeling too oily at all despite my combination skin.  I enjoyed the texture and scent of all of the products in my kit."

| RACHEL @ SECOND TIME AROUND

"Your Best Face Skincare has a variety of great products (even more than the ones that I reviewed). I can't wait to try more YBF Skincare products and I highly recommend them."

Your Best Face Skincare
7.1.2011
| LESLIE @ LESLIE LOVES VEGGIES

"I’m a skincare guru and search for companies and products that I consider ‘hidden treasures.’  Because my skin is so sensitive many skin care lines just don’t pass the Leslie Loves Veggies test, no matter how fabulous they may be. I was pleasantly surprised by the texture of each of these products.  As I said, I have very sensitive skin and although my skin is dry; thick, oily creams irritate my skin.  Your Best Face Skincare products are easily absorbed and very light in texture.  These products are fun and easy to use!"

Five Best Eye Creams 2011
6.27.2011
| MARTA @ TRUTH IN AGING

"I love updating our Five Best roundups as they remind me of all our new greatest finds and every year the quality just gets better and better – a tribute to how the cosmetic industry (at least at the boutique end) is improving, as well as to the ever demanding standards of the Truth In Aging community. The 2011 Five Best eye creams herald in some new and notables as well paying tributes to those that stand the test of time.

Yep, its still a Five Best. For the simple reason that I have a newly bought one in my bathroom cabinet and still turn back to it. Plus, the vast majority of those that try Correct become converts too. It is especially good for smoothing crepy skin and fading dark under circles, as well firming the eyelid."

Lip Service — DEFINE and QUENCH
6.26.2011
| DEBBI @ DIVA DEBBI

"I was amazed and delighed at how plump and full my lips looked! Though there was no visible color in define and quench, they enhanced my natural lip color so much, I felt comfortable going out without lipstick... I'm optimistic, that with continued use, I will see even more benefits."

Your Best Face Balance — Reader reviewed
6.21.2011
| JEN @ TRUTH IN AGING

"It gave my skin more of a matte finish & seemed to make the rosacea on my cheek less noticeable. There are a couple of additional ingredients (Bisabolol & azulene), which, according to the YBF website, soothe & help your skin settle down and recuperate from whatever ails it — including breakouts, razor burn and irritation from harsh weather or products. I am anxious to try this next ski season, as my face always gets irritated from the cold, dry weather. The price is quite reasonable and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone dealing with acne, or for anyone looking for a fairly light moisturizer, which would likely be the younger folks, as we “mature” folks usually need something a bit more hydrating."

Side by Side — YBF Skincare
6.19.2011
| LISA AND MARCIA @ BEAUTY INFOZONE

"This is a line that both Lisa and Marcia are thrilled with and use all the time yet we keep forgetting to review it. We’ve both picked what we want to review but this is not a ‘versus’ review because everything about the line is positive so no duking it out like we’ve done in the past. YBF is loaded with the antioxidants that our skin needs to remain looking as youthful as possible. The products are as wonderful for those in their 20’s as they are for us more mature women."

MARCIA’S SIDE: "I’m choosing two products to teach you about: restore and refresh. They sound like a singing group but the only singing that will go on is what your skin says after you discover this line."

LISA’S SIDE: "I love hydrate B concentrate ($40) and I use this every day. Hydrate B has Hyaluronate, Panthenol, Niacin, and DMAE in it. Put all those ingredients together into a cooling, easily absorbed gel, and you have a product that makes all your other products work even better. That’s not my only love from YBF, I also totally adore boost ($65), especially when my skin gets oily and blemish-prone."

I am kissing lip lines goodbye
6.18.2011
| MARTA @ TRUTH IN AGING

"When it comes to generalities, I am positive and self-reinforcing. But when it comes to the detail – that frown line, age spot, lip line – I beat myself up and do not take prisoners. Especially lip lines. They have been coming out in force in the last year or so and, to make matters worse, I am convinced that they are mostly the self-inflicted result of years of smoking and life-long habit of chewing the inside of my mouth. But I have to tell you, I am no longer beating myself up but I am beating those lines.

YBF Define, designed to target the lip area, was tested by Truth In Aging VIP members before it was even launched and was tweaked following their comments. It is an outstanding product that makes the lips look darker and a little fuller (don’t expect bee-sting plumping though). It has all of YBF’s signature anti-agers – spin-trap, Lipochroman-6 and Syn-Tacks – as well as antioxidant niacin and white tea, hydrating and plumping sodium hyaluronate and an expression line inhibitor."

Boost Your Skincare Routine With Serums
6.15.2011
| JEN MATHEWS @ MY BEAUTY BUNNY

"Your Best Face (YBF) Antioxidants Concentrate packs a light, but powerful dose of antioxidants including ferulic acid, Vitamin E, spin trap (an antioxidant that actually increased the effectiveness of other antioxidants), Lipochroman-6 and sodium hyaluronate. Antioxidants help to reverse and prevent sun damage and are great to use after LED light treatments."

YBF Refresh — Reader reviewed and recommended
6.14.2011
| KITRI @ TRUTH IN AGING

"My eyelids are the achilles heel of my 50-something face. They puff and droop at the slightest excuse–excessive starch or salt, sleep deprivation, or just because they feel like it. Basically, they remind me of my teenagers–intractable despite my persistent efforts at “guidance.”

It so happened that I had just received my order of Reluma’s Skin-Illuminating Serum a few days earlier, so I decided to apply Refresh to my left eyelid and Reluma to my right. I know it’s an unfair comparison but I wanted to see the difference, if any. The difference took several days to show up, but it did show up. I began looking more awake and wide-eyed in both eyes. My good-eyes days began to outnumber the bad. I was pleasantly surprised."

May 2011 Star Products

"I strive to pick total stand-out products or "Star Products". Typically, these are products that I have found myself reaching for over-and-over again during the past month. So, these are truly items that I am totally loving and currently using all the time!

Your Best Face (YBF) Quench Lip Treatment: Best. Lip Treatment. Ever. Period. Seriously! This is a great lipbalm. But, its so much more than a lipbalm. This product is packed with highly effective antioxidants, lip conditioners, and anti-aging ingredients. Plus, it tastes good! I love everything that I have tried from Your Best Face and this lip treatment is no exception!"

Your Best Face Hydrate B — A contradiction in terms
5.28.2011
| LINDA @ TRUTH IN AGING

We LOVE all reviews about our products -- even the rare one that's not so glowing, because no matter what, it's a chance for us to learn & grow! Sometimes we simply learn ways we can do a better job of explaining how and when our products will work their best. In this case HYDRATE B was NOT a winning product for Linda & with good reason.

"Though I kept an unusually open mind and applied the clear gel faithfully for four weeks, Hydrate B was truly disappointing: After a month, my complexion looked and felt more parched than usual, and no amount of moisturizer could make it remotely supple or dewy. In the spirit of full disclosure, I should mention that my skin is naturally very dry, and I wash with some of the hardest water on earth. That, combined with an arid climate, is a tough challenge for any product. I’m quite sure that for someone with normal skin living in a more-humid region—HA is supposed to work best in coastal areas—this product would live up to its claims. But for me, sadly, it did not."

YBF Continues to amaze with Balance lotion
5.13.2011
| MEREDITH @ RETRODIVA BEAUTY

"Earlier this year I reviewed Prep by YBF, and declared it one of the best skincare items of the year. Now I have another favorite by YBF, one that works especially well for those with irritated, blemish-prone, and oily skin: Balance. Balance actually does what many products claim to do but fail – it helps control oil production. After smoothing this anti-aging formulation on, my oily skin was nice and matte and even managed to stay that way for hours, with no touch-ups necessary for the rest of the day. Impressive for my skin."

YBF Review — Your Best Face Skincare

| AMANDA @ WE HEART THIS

"The wht team faces off with YBF – reviews of Boost, Prep, Balance, Restore, Quench and more!
Haven’t heard of Your Best Face (YBF) yet? Take notes – we think this line could be the next big thing! YBF is the brainchild of Kimberly Fristed and Darrell Owens; friends for two decades (they met at work) who dreamed of branching out in business together. Kimberly and Darrell want YOU to look YOUR best, not your sister’s best or some celebrity’s best.

With that in mind they took their time formulating, testing, and perfecting the YBF line to create the best products possible. The carefully edited line contains 13 core products (and a few seasonal specialities) and the wht team had the chance to test five of YBF’s top-notch formulas."

Your Best Face Antioxidants Concentrate — reviewed and recommended
4.20.2011
| SUNDAY @ TRUTH IN AGING

"A little dollop of Hope in a Jar and 2 pumps of YBF Antioxidants Concentrate mixed together in the palm of my hand and voilá a new friendship was born. I could probably add this serum to ketchup and I’d get a great mask ~ at least. From the first morning’s scan I had noticeable improvement in tone, texture and dewiness, my cheek skin was plumper where I have a stubborn patch on my left side that always begs for repair. I thought NOW THAT IS AN EFFECTIVE SOLUTION for most of the reasons I started retinol in the first place. This serum had SUPER-CHARGED a cream I had been rubbing on my elbows. With adherence to Marta’s recent post on Exfoliation 101 and then using YBF Antioxidants Concentrate mixture I have achieved GREAT results in the last month and my skin is VERY HAPPY!!!"

Five Essentials for Baseball Players includes CORRECT Eye Cream (yes, we took a double take too)
4.5.2011
| SUNIL @ TRUTH IN AGING

"Yes, times have changed now, a baseball player is supposed to perform on the field and look good off the field to court both potential suitors and sponsors. So it’s no surprise that all of a sudden they’re looking a bit more trimmed and well managed. Here are five products that they might want to consider to keep their appearance up to par.

There are 162 games in a baseball season. In that time, players have to play the game, practice, workout, pack up and head from city to city, all while trying to get a good night’s rest. It’s not easy to do, especially if you just had a bad loss that might keep you tossing and turning in bed. You can bet players will be missing sleep which is why they should use You Best Face Correct."

"The first few days I used Define I had some peeling of my lips. I thought I was having a reaction to it but by the third day I realized I was just sloughing off the dead skin. It wasn’t painful, my lips didn’t feel chapped; it was just a natural exfoliation. I now have none of that happening.

I enjoy using Quench especially when I’m home and not in lipstick wearing mode. I keep it by my computer but I’d love to have more all over my house. This also has a light peppermint touch to it from the peppermint and clementine oils used in the formula. The tingle is slight for me, I only really notice it the first time I use it during the day. It doesn’t have a fragrance which is what I personally prefer."

Nutra-Lift Maximum C, CSS CE Ferulic, YBF HYDRATE B Concentrate and ANTIOXIDANTS Concentrate Reviewed and recommended
3.29.2011
| EMILY @ TRUTH IN AGING

"I couldn’t complete this comparison without mention of Your Best Face, which has again delivered with their (fairly new) Hydrate B Concentrate and Antioxidants Concentrate. They both come in the far better engineered airless pump that YBF always uses, which is preferable both for precision and potency—as well as cleanliness!"

Five Best with sodium hyaluronate
3.29.2011
| MARTA @ TRUTH IN AGING

"When my clients ask me what one product they need in their skin care regimen, 99 times out of 100 I recommend a vitamin c serum. Why vitamin C? Well, it cures a truckload of evils. But primarily it’s ideal for anti-aging as it a powerful antioxidant that brightens the skin and promotes cellular turnover."

My RESULTS: "Restore is lightweight and absorbs quickly into my skin, making it an easy-to-layer product under my moisturizer. I do have hyperpigentation issues, and after 45 days of using YBF Restore, I find my skin brighter and firmer. I love this serum and am quite sad to think that I am running out soon!"

Your Best Face (YBF) BOOST Review
3.27.2011
| PAMMY @ PAMMY BLOGS BEAUTY

"Wow, I just have to start out by saying that my skin looks amazing from using this Boost Moisturizer! I have been using it in the mornings and the evenings for the past few weeks and my skin has honestly looks great!

While I am generally have very few breakouts, my skin can be breakout prone during "that time of the month". Well, during my entire testing phase of this product, I did not experience any breakouts. At all! Not even one tiny zit!"

YBF Skincare Review
3.17.2011
|  ASHLEY @ SHOPAHOLIC MOMMY'S MUST HAVES

"When I started using Prep I noticed within 2 uses, my forehead was dramatically clearer. I couldn't believe the difference and to be completely honest, I didn't expect this much of a difference either! My skin feels smooth and silky after I use Prep and I just absolutely love it!

I found that Hydrate B Concentrate is a great moisturizer to use with Prep. It really made my skin hydrated right after using the microdermabrasion cream and my skin felt so soft, I just couldn't believe it! One thing I love about this stuff is a tiny bit goes a long way."

NOURISH Eye Cream Review
3.17.2011
| PAMMY @ PAMMY BLOGS BEAUTY

"This eye cream is so unique! It moisturizes extremely well, yet it is weightless and non-greasy on your skin. Throw out your notions of needing a thick and heavy cream for moisture as this will plump and hydrate without leaving you greasy and, in fact, sinks right in to become virtually undetectable on the skin. This makes it ideal for use in the daytime and for use under makeup."

ANTIOXIDANTS Concentrate in Five Best Serums for under $100
3.15.2011
|  MARTA @ TRUTH IN AGING

"I’ve been introduced to some great new serums lately, but many have been on the expensive side (like the wonderful ReLuma, for example). So, I’ve been back through the archives and put together a Five Best serums for under $100.

It is a good way to be thrifty: you can mix some your usual potions and lotions to give them an antioxidant boost; or as a base for your own DIY concoctions. You can also use it with LED light."

Your Best Face — QUENCH and CORRCT
3.2.2011
|  EVA MATHEWS @ MY BEAUTY BUNNY

"This is why it’s great to have a sister who’s the queen of beauty. She asked me to review Your Best Face (YBF)’s Quench and Correct." On QUENCH: "I have been using it for three weeks at the height of winter and my lips are about 70% better! I also love the non-greasy, smooth feel and the wide surface area for quick application." On CORRECT: "I tried many products with varying degree of success, but YBF’s Correct Invigorating Eye Cream has fixed my dryness by about 90%!"

Rediscovering Your Best Face
2.25.2011
| EMILY @ TRUTH IN AGING

"I decided to stock up on YBF and see what happened by sticking to that regime. Over the fall, I'd been a bit promiscuous in my skin-care behavior, trying this and that, and while the results were often very happy, my skin felt muddy and confused. And especially as winter bore down in the Northeast, I wanted to see if fidelity to some proven winners could reduce dryness and eliminate some pesky breakouts.
So I’m in better shape than when the winter started. After about six or seven weeks of faithful use, I’m just about done with most of these favorites, and it’s time to re-order. I’m glad I curbed my wandering eye and renewed my vows with Your Best Face."

Your Best Face Concentrate Antixodants and Refresh- reader reviewed and recommended
1.27.2011
|  KIM S @ TRUTH IN AGING

"The YBF Antioxidants was a wonderful addition to all of my skincare products. It played well with everything I tried it with, whether it was a night cream, a day cream, sunscreen or by itself in use with the Baby Quasar LED Light Therapy.

I started using Refresh and instantly felt a hydrating and tightening of my eye area. My eyes felt fresh and not irritated. I carried the product all the way around the ocular bone and found no irritation whatsoever – this was unusual for me and would make me use this product over and over again. I was so impressed with this product – I cannot sing it’s praises enough. My eyes have tightened, my dark circles have disappeared, I even feel that the bags under my eyes have become so small that they look almost entirely gone."

PART 1 — Your Best Face: Spin Traps to the Rescue!
1.25.2011
| CHRISTINE @ 15 MIN BEAUTY FANATIC

"One of my favorite skin care brands is Your Best Face. They have a fairly wide range of products that are primarily focused around anti-oxidants, in particular Spin Traps. Spin Traps are among the most powerful anti-oxidants known, so if you are going to be including anti-oxidants as your primary anti-aging category, this is a good way to go.

When using YBF products I've had great results. My skin seems to really love them, becoming glowy and never a blemish in sight. I don't have any wrinkles, but I do have issues with my skin looking sallow or just tired, and I think they are helped by the YBF products."

PART 2 — Your Best Face: Eye and Lip Creams
1.26.2011
|  CHRISTINE @ 15 MIN BEAUTY FANATIC

"Yesterday I covered 5 different products in the Your Best Face lineup, and today we'll go over four more.

I really like the Your Best Face products because they include Spin Traps (very powerful anti-oxidants), often include peptides and you can find cool perks like Nylon-12, which helps absorb oil for those of us with combination skin."

PART 3 — Your Best Face: A Great Scrub and Concentrates
1.27.2011

"Today is the last day of recapping Your Best Face's products, yes a company that I love. Again, they feature Spin Traps, super high powered anti-oxidants that will help you prevent aging. Today we'll go over a few more products, so read on to find out about the last few items in the line."

Your Best Face Concentrate Antioxidants — reader reviewed and recommended
1.22.2011
| DEB @ TRUTHINAGING

"The Antioxidant was easy to combine and went on smoothly and felt very light on my skin, absorbing very well with no trace of residue or oily feeling on my skin. A couple of days after the first few applications of blending, my skin had a definite dewy look. With continued use my complexion became fresher and brighter looking. I am very impressed with my appearance and would highly recommend this product."

Your Best Face Refresh and Antioxidants Reader Reviewed and Recommended
1.19.2011
|  KELLY @ GOULDYLOX REVIEWS

"Some lines are just smart. They figure out what is missing and make it so. And for my winter skin, YBF is doing just that with two new supplemental products, Hydrate B Concentrate and Antioxidants Concentrate.
You can add this to your current moisturizer for your face or body. You can even add it to a mask or serum to boost your skin's hydration. Dry skin is my number one problem during the colder months and since I have been using this (early December), I haven't had one dry patch on my cheeks, which are normally scaly and itchy by now.

You can also add the Antioxidants Concentrate to any of your current skin care products or use it on your own. It's kind of like having your own little skin care chemistry set at home, ready for all of your DIY needs!"

Review of Hydrate B Concentrate and Define Lip Area Cream
1.19.2011
| CINDY @ PRIME BEAUTY

"You’ve already heard me rave about YBF Prep Microdermabrasion, now I’d like to tell you about a couple of other products that have really made a difference in my skincare routine.

Hydrate B is a light clear gel that absorbs quickly and is meant to be used before moisturizers and serums to lock in moisture. I saw an almost immediate improvement in my formally dry skin.

Define helps gives me back some of the self esteem that Angelina Jolie stole from me! Define provides peptides to fill lips and smooth lines and antioxidants to help heal. I used Define liberally at nighttime and it has saved my lips this winter. After using it for a week, I was really amazed at how soft my lips felt and how well my lipsticks and gloss applied.

I never realized what a difference having smooth plump lips makes when wearing lipstick! And I’m sorry to admit this but smooth plump lips do help me to look younger. "

YBF Nourish, Refresh, and Concentrate Antioxidants
1.18.2011
| MARK @ TRUTH IN AGING

"I tried both of the eye creams at same time, one under each eye. At the same time on the Nourish side, I began also applying the Concentrate Antioxidants and noticed it did bump up the results after a couple of weeks with the fine lines appearing a bit more diminished.

All three of these formulas worked well for the intended purpose and also provide more choices for age ranges and creative combinations to help address individual needs and price points.

Refresh performed a bit better for me [and] comes in with heavier artillery to reduce what problems we may already have in the eye area, and I did notice the difference in the two. This one provided the same hydration and moisturization, but also plumped more and left the under eye area more supple. Fine lines also were less noticeable on this side."

Your Best Face Control — reader reviewed
1.14.2011
| SARA @ TRUTH IN AGING

"I regret to report that any improvement in my skin is minimal. I have a few small aging spot/sun damage areas, one of which is slightly lighter. The crepe-iness around my eyes is a bit better, but not so around my lips. My crow’s feet seem a bit less pronounced, especially when I compare that same area to the eyes of women around my age (57)."

Your Best Face Nourish and Balance — reader reviewed
1.11.2011
| ANN @ TRUTH IN AGING

"Nourish is the eye cream, apparently for 20-somethings. I’m in my 30s. I thought it was a very good eye care product. It moisturizes the under-eye area well and seemed to hold fine lines at bay, as well as under-eye shadows. I like the texture and the price point. Unfortunately, I don’t have much positive to say about Balance, a face moisturizer. For some reason, it left my face with an odd “matte” look and was not very moisturizing. On the other hand, I have very dry skin, especially in the winter. This product might be good for someone with an oilier skin type."

Your Best Face: skincare in 2011 — Prep Microdermabrasion by YBF
1.6.2011
| MEREDITH @ RETRODIVA'S BEAUTY

"PREP has microdermabrasion crystals in it, which I love. The best part is that they aren’t sharp – ever tried a microdermabrasion that just hurts? You won’t have that problem here.

The crystals along with alpha arbutin whisk away dead skin and debris to help brighten and balance skin. The addition of niacin helps with the refreshed look my skin has after a good scrub."

Your Best Face Refresh and Antioxidants Reader Reviewed and Recommended
1.3.2011
| SANDY @ TRUTH IN AGING

"Refresh absorbs nicely with no residue, and it does seem to address under eye circles and soften fine lines. Antioxidants Concentrate has a wonderful almond scent, very subtle, which is a nice pick-me-up in the morning.

Final Conclusion: I like these products and enjoy using them. They have a nice scent, possibly none with Refresh, and both products absorb quickly with no residue. I see results: fresher, smoother skin, softened lines, lightened circles under my eyes."
