Our balanced approach
Your Best Face Skincare began as a project to create products for our friends, which meant we only wanted to use safe ingredients. That required a close look at our ingredient options, both natural and synthetic.
Early on, it was important for us not to make the assumption that natural always means safe, just as synthetic does not always mean unsafe.
We always allow facts and research to be our guide, staying up-to-date and continually refining our formulation methods.
Our packaging even makes a difference. The airless pump containers we use are extremely hygienic resulting in minimal need for preservatives.

We emphasize use of natural and safe ingredients
Throughout creation of YBF's products, we emphasize the use of natural ingredients where possible and when they are the best and safest option. For example, in our current formulas some natural ingredients were selected specifically because of their antibacterial or antiviral qualities. Other natural ingredients were ruled out because they can break down, harbor bacteria or even trigger allergic reactions.
As you read through our ingredient lists and glossary, you'll see most of the active ingredients in our formulas are natural or naturally-derived amino acid-based peptides, super antioxidants and water-based extracts. We also use synthetic ingredients
when they are a better choice for our customers.
An example of how we choose safe and effective ingredients is reflected in our selection of skin brighteners found in our eye cream, Correct and skin brightener, Restore. We were very particular to select ingredients that do not bleach the skin. Our brightening ingredients naturally encourage the skin to respond less to sunlight, thus reducing the overproduction of melanin.
We held on to the philosophy of using the most effective and safest ingredients, whether natural or synthetic, throughout development of the YBF formulas available today and will always do so with future products.
