Where can I buy your products?
We are extremely proud to have been offering our products through The Skin Care Shop since May, 2007. Please support them by shopping their on-line store (www.TheSkinCareShop.com), visit their spa and store in Shepherdstown, West Virginia or call them at 304.876.8222 with your order.

Do you add perfumes to your products?
No. Our beneficial ingredients themselves contribute their own pleasant aroma. Some describe the scent of many of our products as almond-like. Correct contains nutmeg butter and thus has a light nutmeg scent.

Is Your Best Face, LLC (YBF Skincare) affiliated with the make-up line called Your Best Friend (YBF) Stacey?
No. Our brand is not affiliated with the make-up line Your Best Friend (YBF) Stacey, as seen on the Home Shopping Network. Your Best Face (YBF Skincare) began when Stacey was operating her brand, Models Prefer Inc. on QVC. Stacey moved from QVC to the Home Shopping Network and changed her brand name to Your Best Friend (YBF) Stacey. We gladly direct customers seeking Stacey's make-up products to her web site and to the Home Shopping Network.

I am not familiar with many of the active ingredients in your formulas. Why is this?
There are a few reasons why this may be. First, keep in mind that unlike most other brands, YBF Skincare brings together a wider variety of active ingredients than you’ll find elsewhere. Additionally, most companies design their products around a minimum cost model, which forces them to select more common, less expensive or less effective ingredients. At YBF Skincare, we didn’t let ingredient costs restrict our formulation process, which allowed us to incorporate the most current skincare technology available. This means we may be using a more current version of an ingredient (with a name you may not recognize), which costs more, but is also more effective. An example of this is our use of vitamin C. Other companies will list their vitamin C as Ascorbyl palmitate, which costs them pennies per ounce. We only use Ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate, which is shown to be more stable, more effective and better-tolerated by those with sensitive skin. Ounce-for-ounce, it also happens to cost hundreds of times as much as its less effective counterpart, which may be why you hadn‘t heard of it yet.

Can I get samples of your products?
We may occasionally make samples of our products available for free or for purchase. Please sign up for samples when requesting to be included in general product updates, or to specifically request samples, please send a request to Samples@ybf-Skincare.com. We may also partner with select retailers hosting sampling events, in which case we will provide you dates, times and locations as they become available. Notices will be sent from YBF Skincare. The email address you provide to receive such notices will not be shared with the retailer. See our complete privacy policy regarding use of information you provide.

Do you plan on expanding your line?
We are constantly working on new skincare product formulas and updates to our existing products. In 2009 we updated formulas for these products: Quench Lip Treatment, Defend, Control, Correct and Restore. We also launched three new products: Boost, Prep and Define.

Can I take your products with me when I fly?
Because flight policies may change, it is wise to check with your airline in advance, but at the time of this writing, you may travel with our products if they are stored in a one quart sealable bag.

Which of your products should I use and when?
When you use our products depends much on your personal preference and skincare routine. With the exception of Prep, our microdermabrasion treatment (which should only be used at night) the rest of our products may be used any time. As a starting point, Defend is primarily for daytime use while Control, Correct and Restore may be used in any combination at any time. Some individuals prefer to use Defend and Control in the daytime and Restore and Correct at night.

Can I use your products if I wear make-up?
Indeed! Our products are water-based, so apply YBF products prior to makeup application. Tip: also try mixing Defend or Control with your foundation just before applying.

Are your skincare products organic?
We use an extensive variety of natural ingredients in our formulas and when available, we often opt to use organic ingredients. It has been our personal decision not to make a marketing effort out of our organic ingredient use. If you're curious about the nature of specific ingredients in our products please ask us and we'll be glad share that information.

Do you use preservatives in your products and if so, why?
Of the products that require it, we make ours in lightly preserved, small batches and time production closely to when we anticipate more product is needed by our retailer. We realize your choice to use products with or without preservatives is a personal, and often passionate, decision. As a consumer who may want to simply make the most informed decision possible about safety, the number of messages, perspectives and studies available can be frustrating – there's a lot to sort through. Whatever your choice, we want you to know we respect your decision and appreciate the opportunity to share our own perspective on preservatives. How do you go about obtaining reviews and testimonials for your products?
All of the reviews and testimonials we share or reference on our web site are genuine and written by people not affiliated with our company. We do not purchase reviews or testimonials. We do provide publication writers with products samples so they may effectively evaluate and review our products, however the views and opinions they express about our brand and products are their own. With permission from the individual, we also share unsolicited comments, quotes and testimonials we receive through email.
